I just want to sleep…
I need to finish this so that I can go to sleep but I’m organizing photos on aperture instead. Here are some pictures I found on my phone.
I’m back ;)
I will try to use this more often… maybe put up some old pictures to let you know what I have been doing. School started only three weeks ago but I’m already planning out my classes for the summer and the fall. I am taking an ensemble this semester so I might have a video of me playing or singing soon xD
I tried to plan the wedding a dozen times already but no progress yet. I was going for a May wedding but I it doesn’t seem possible at the moment since I don’t even have a location. Planning a wedding is not fun, I’d rather study and practice.
I recently made apple strudel and put it up on our website: http://davidandgrace.com/love/cooking/apple-strudel/

It was very easy to make and super delicious. Until next time, Ciao!
Boston we are here!
We had a short drive today for about 4 hours. It poured while we drove through upstate New York. A nice wash for the bug covered bikes and car. When we got to Boston, luckily the rain subsided and we had just enough time to unpack in the hot humidity and park the car down the street without getting wet.
We walked down the street to a korean bbq place for dinner, and had plenty of soju/sake. The food was ok, I think we’re spoiled with good ktown food. Grace out early, so she won’t be able to comment on the photos of the day. She’ll probably update it soon! Check back later!
Finally, we’re here!!!
It rained ALOT. I was worried about the bikes on the top of our car but David assured me that they would be okay. Poor Wagner… We stopped at McDonald’s for lunch because that was only choic we had to eat. We always tried to get the best food we could get whereever we were, but it’s hard to find place to eat in the middle of toll freeways. We binged on fast food and we all vowed to avoid fat food for awhile. (A day later, Joe went out for a beer and brought Burger King. It was so good…)
Thank goodness, the rain stopped when we got to Boston. The apartment we’re staying for a month was on the third floor and we had to walk the steep steps in Boston humidity to find a door with 5 different locks. As soon as we opened the door, we smelled something really bad and David found the broken fridge with all the melted korean food with a smell of 1 million year old garbage! gross… I had hard time gettin used to the place first but it’s a nice place. After a quick afternoon rain, we walked around the block to find a little Korean town and had Korean BBQ with Soju and Sake. I can’t believe we’re here!
If I had to, I would pick this day as our worst :/
I think by this day, we were all exhaustd and just wanted to get to Boston. I remember as we were walking towards the car in the morning, it started to rain. Not really a good sign. And when I wanted some Chopin for my tired body and mind, Joe was listening to Bill Simmons and all I could hear was someone yelling “30, 33, 25 milion” and “trade” for an hour. I kid you not, I wanted to do something bad to him. I remember imaging about cutting all the cables in his little home studio…
The pictures are out of order cuz I messed up and I’m too lazy to label all the pictures again hehe enjoy~
Mister Chi City ya’ll!
I love hot dogs. If I had to choose between hamburger or hot dogs, I would choose hot dogs without hesitation. So we decided to take Anthony Bourdain’s advice and go to Hot Doug’s in the morning. It was a BEAUTIFUL day outside and I had a good feeling about today. We stood in line for about 20 minutes or so and got The Marty Allen and Foie Gras, Sauternes Duck Sausage with french fries. It was delicious! David and Joe ate the whole thing even though they had breakfast only 30 minutes before. I will really miss this place. Afterwards, we went to downtown to go to all the tourist spots to say “I’ve been there!” and had lot of fun taking pictures. We even got compliments from passerby about our amazing dance skills. We all liked Chicago very much and this will be one of the spots I will miss and remember!
I always end up writing blog right before we leave and I get so stressed! The boys just went down to put the bike on the car so hopefully I’ll get to write more when we get to New York today. It will be a 7 hour drive x/
Iowa, through the Prairies.
Drive through Iowa was much more interesting than Colorado or Nebraska. Granted, there are still endless fields or corn everywhere but I would take little hills and occasional windmills over flat lands any day. We stopped in Des Moines for lunch. It was very refreshing to be able to take pictures of people because I was getting sick of landscapes. Des Moines is a very nice, small city and I would come here for a quick stop for food again
Today was the last longest drive we had until Boston. I was pretty excited because I downloaded bunch of Podcasts, everything from Cartalk to korean music. But sitting in the car for 8, 9 hours is very hard when you don’t take any naps. I’m glad we only have 4 to 5 hour drive for next three days!
As soon as we reached Illinois, we saw the difference in landscape. There were definitely more trees and it was nice on my eyes. We stopped at Wholefoods to grab sushi, chips, jerky and beer and got to Hampton Inn around 8 o’clock. Enjoy the pictures
Nebraska has lot of corn fields.
None of us like Denver. It’s a curse city for us and we wanted to get out as soon as possible. We all woke up pretty early today. We went to Wholefoods to pick up snacks and food for lunch and began our drive. Drive today was pretty easy. Lot of open land, fields, cows and horses. Great Plains reminded me of John Steinbeck and I wished that I had some classical music to listen to. Brahms symphonies or even Beethoven’s Pastoral would’ve been perfect but we had Postal Service and Nujabes instead
My head feels heavy… Because we’re on the road, I only drink coffee when I get to our destination spot. I miss Janet’s coffee… I miss Mommy’s coffee… I miss you Mommy and Daddy!!!
Colorado is not our friend.
We had a very long drive on Sunday. Me and Joe woke up around 9 (David woke up around 6) so we started our drive at 10 in the morning. Except for the quick rainstorms here and there, it was a beautiful drive. I try not to take too many pictures of the scenery because it’s not the most fun pictures to look at. But the landscapes are so different out here that most of the pictures I took on Sunday are pictures of fields, hills and rocks. As you drive through these rock valleys, I couldn’t help but to think how small we are compare to the things in the nature. I think I was so used to living in a city where everything was built to cater to humans that I forget what is out there.
Things started to go sour when we hit our second traffic. We didn’t move for a very long time so Joe checked on internet to see what was going on and told us it was a truck with a tank flipped over 5 hours ago. We thought the traffic would clear so we didn’t turn around but we ended up spending about 2 hours just stopped in the middle of the freeway. When we finally got a chance to turn around, we all yelled “FREEDOM!” and made fun of the people who were still stuck on the freeway… until the alternate route came to a stop and we spent 2 more hours on a one lane highway. By the time we passed the traffic it was 10PM. We have been sitting in the traffic for the last 4 hours and didn’t have dinner yet so we were eager to get to Denver. And when we saw Denver city lights, I think we all got very excited and David started to pass all the cars and stepped on the gas. Of course, we got pulled over and the police officer gave us a ticket? I don’t really know what it was because we need to hire a lawyer but it was some type of a ticket… We were driving 90 on a 55 zone x/
We got back around 12 o’clock and had microwavable dinner before we passed out.
We’re starting our drive early so that we can get to our next destination at a decent time. And maybe David can play WoW and me & Joe can watch korean shows
